What are you reviewing?: The Hunger Games

What did you review? : A movie

What did you like about it? : This is the best time that they took a R rated book and turned it into a PG-13 movie. Katniss did almost everything that Suzanne Collins discribed her, and the producer added extra things. Such as showing the rebellion in District 11. I also love that they went to every little detail and let it go.

On a scale from yuck to best ever, how much did you like it? : Best Ever

The main characters personalities are all so different. There is a sporty girl, a brainy girl, a beauty queen, and a hipster. They all had their own personal lives which were very relateable. They each had their own secret in which they are trying to hide. But someones out to get them. They each get notes, emails, and texts threatening to reveal their secrets or do something that can be in danger to their lives. The book is suspenseful and mysterious and get more interesting as the series (8 books) goes on.

This is the first of a series and as it goes on, it becomes more intense but still fun. I also liked that Jacob now was ok with the Cullen’s and that he would do anything to protect Renesme. Another thing that was nice about this book in the series was that the Vultorie was more in involved in Renesme’s story and how she might turn out.

What did you review? : A movie

What did you like about it? : The way the director took a (R) rated book and made it into a kid(ish) friendly movie. Whatever he did and made the movie so close to the book itself, I would say that Hunger Games can’t wait for the next movie.

What are you reviewing?: Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen

What did you review? : A book

What did you like about it? : I liked how there was a lot of humor throughout the book. Also that I like how the characters, Bryce and Julianna, switched narrating each chapter. Another thing that I liked was that Julianna liked Bryce, but Bryce did not like Julianna and Julianna tried very hard to get Bryce to like her. The book really kept me wanting to read more. I would love if the author, Wendy Van Draanen would make a sequel to this great book.
