Rise of the Planet of the Apes

What are you reviewing and what is it?
Rise of the Planet of the Apes, movie.
What did you like about it?
This was a intellegent reboot of the Planet of the Apes franchise. It’s not an action flick and slowly builds tension until the explosive end. The characters are engaging and have well defined characters. I really enjoyed the relationships between the characters in this film.
Who would like this?
Those who like a more thoughtful sci-fi film.
On a scale from yuck to best ever, how much did you like it?
Much more than I expected. Great.

A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs

What’s your first name and school?
Ridgeway,  GEPL Staff
What are you reviewing and what is it?
A Princess of Mars by Edger Rice Burroughs, book.
What did you like about it?
This book is classic scifi and it’s easy to see why it inspired so many books after it. The hero of this story can do no wrong. His adventures are  completely far fetched but enjoyable. The book is fast paced   and the cheesy plot is a lot of fun.
Who would like this?
Star Wars geeks and scifi freaks
On a scale from yuck to best ever, how much did you like it?
A lot.
