Library Foundation Naming Opportunitites
Your name, carved in stone, on the library? Just $5 million.
The Glen Ellyn Library Foundation (Foundation) plans to follow the lead of other area libraries in initiating a “naming” program. In exchange for donations of $2500 and up, donors will qualify to have their names, or those of loved ones, affixed to carrels, specific rooms or the building itself. A new brochure, describing giving opportunities, ($2500 for a carrel, $1million for the main reading room and $5million to name the building), is now available at the library’s main desk.
The purpose of the Foundation is to amass a significant amount of money, whose annual earnings would be used to fund additional innovative community outreach programs, not possible with current property tax revenues alone
As one of the intellectual focal points of Glen Ellyn, the library, via the Foundation, provides a convenient vehicle for those wishing to leave a living legacy for community enrichment. Gifts are, of course, tax deductible and may be made in cash or saleable items, e.g. real estate, securities, etc.
Questions about the Foundation may be forwarded to Dawn Bussey, Director, Glen Ellyn Public Library, 630-469-0879.
