Individuals are welcome to use our desktop computers to:

- access our subscription databases for reliable information covering a variety of subject areas
- access the internet

Ask at the Adult Information Desk to be directed to a computer that will meet your needs.
Laptops
For Teens
Teens in grades 9 through 12 can visit the Adult Department Information Desk to temporarily exchange their school ID for a few hours of library laptop and WIFI time.
For Adults
With a Glen Ellyn Library card in good standing, patrons may visit the Adult Department Information Desk and check out a laptop for up to 3.5 hours. This mobile computer lab allows us the flexibility to offer computer classes in larger meeting and study rooms in addition to our Computer Lab.
Technology Petting Zoo
The Petting Zoo includes eight digital devices, including multiple eReaders, mp3 players, and more. Library staff have ben trained to help you navigate each device in the petting zoo. No question is too easy – the library is here to help! Visit GEPL to hold various digital devices in your hands, try out how each one works, and learn to download and transfer eBooks and audiobooks using the library’s free digital download service. Visiting our petting zoo is great for the technology novice or those who are deciding whether to buy their loved ones a high-tech gift.
