Library Services for Individuals with Disabilities
In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act, every effort will be made to make our programs accessible to individuals with disabilities. To aid us in making accommodations, please contact the Business Manager at 630-469-0879 72 hours prior to the event.
The Homebound Delivery Service is available to Glen Ellyn Public Library cardholders who are homebound for a short or long period of time. Volunteers deliver materials chosen by an Adult Services Librarian. There is no charge for this service. If you or someone you know needs this service please call the Adult Services Department at 630-469-0879.
Limited Vision Patrons
The Glen Ellyn Public Library has a TeleSensory Magnification Machine to assist members with limited vision. The machine is available on the second floor of the library.
A one on one reading program is available for all patrons with a visual impairment. This volunteer program is jointly sponsored by the Blind Service Association of Chicago and the Glen Ellyn Public Library. Anyone who needs reading assistance (mail, personal paperwork, other printed materials) is encouraged to register and find out more by calling Blind Service Association at 312-236-0808. If you are interested in volunteering to help with this service at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, please contact Sally Cooper at email@example.com or call 312-236-0808.
Limited Hearing Patrons
