If you enjoy sampling the finest gourmet cuisine, stop by the Glen Ellyn Library at 7pm on Wednesday, October 10 for “Tailgating Munchies.” Chef Dave Esau will prepare football themed foods and game time snacks for attendees to sample, including: Cajun spice wings, spicy sausage kabobs, and sweet potato quesadillas. He will provide step-by-step instructions on how to prepare each food as well as the recipes.
Chef Esau has been in the gourmet restaurant business for 32 years. He attended Dumas Pere L’Ecole de la Cuisine in Glenview, while working at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Chicago. He later traveled to Lyon, France to study under a Michelin rated chef before perfecting his culinary skills inside the kitchen at Charlie Trotter’s. In 2002, Esau opened Dave’s Specialty Foods, a gourmet food shop offering a lunch menu, catering services, and cooking classes located in Mount Prospect.
